Support Worker (Bexhill) Utopia Children's Home Provision
Key responsibilities will include
- Ability to successfully care for Looked After Children in a residential childcare environment
- General housekeeping and preparing food
- Good level of IT skills to complete the necessary paperwork
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to prioritise and multitask
- Display professionalism and liaise with local professionals and local authorities regularly
- Display empathy and understanding when liaising with families
- Proactivity and able to use initiative
- Key working skills
- Ability to engage with children with emotional, behavioural and psychological difficulties as a result of adverse childhood experiences, mental health issues, domestic abuse, substance misuse, sexual abuse and learning difficulties
- Affectively supporting children in the community, cinema trips, swimming, theme parks, supported shopping etc.
Training and Qualifications:
- Childcare: 1 year (required)
- Have or be willing to work towards a Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Mandatory training modules will be provided
- Knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and OFSTED Regulation is desirable but not essential
- Minimum required working age of 21 years
- Experience of working in a similar setting is desirable however, not essential
Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
- Majority of shifts available are 07:30-15:30 and 14:30-22:30 between Monday-Sunday (including some bank holidays).
- Possible sleep-in required and paid additionally

Work Schedule:
- Full-time, Permanent
- You will be required to work on a rolling rota with a fixed shift pattern of two nights on, two nights off. You will start at 21:00 PM and finish at 08:00 AM and receive regular days off. Our rotas are from Monday-Sunday and include bank holidays.
