Quality Assurance

Utopia Supported Housing is committed to providing the best services  possible and needs to be able to demonstrate that it provides quality services and manages the organisation efficiently and effectively to ensure young people thrive. 


 As a service user-led organisation, Utopia Supported Housing endeavour to understand current and future service user needs and will strive to meet young people requirements and exceed expectations at all times. There is a shared understanding throughout the organisation about what we are trying to achieve and how we are trying to achieve it: 


  • Agreeing quality objectives and how we will achieve these, continuously monitoring  and reviewing outcomes
  • Ensuring our service users know what to expect from Utopia and their rights
  • Having a robust and experienced senior management team in place to provide clear  vision and direction
  • Maintaining relevant and up-to-date company policies and procedures
  • Using effective communication tools throughout the organisation with staff, young  people, external organisations or professionals
  • Regularly evaluating our Business Plan and priorities for the next five years. Also,  business continuity planning for any unforeseen circumstances
  • Development of staff including, regular and effective supervision, appraisals, career  pathway plans and training
  • Gathering feedback from employees, service users and placing authorities in the way  of annual surveys
  • Holding exit interviews with employees and service users
  • Regular internal staff meetings
  • Monthly Young Person Participation Groups for feedback and continuity of support
  • Actively participating in the audit process both internally and externally. Also, local  authority and Ofsted inspections
  • Record learning events and use this to focus on areas of development and learn as a  company
  • Gather monthly internal statistic reports to measure outcomes and areas in need of  improvement.  


There is a technical infrastructure capable of supporting the delivery of our aims and strategic priorities. There are the necessary resources in place to support the delivery of our aims and strategic priorities.  


There is a robust and experienced management team and support team in place to maintain and improve our aims and strategic priorities and to adequately support our young people and accommodation settings  


There are monitoring procedures in place to ensure that policies and procedures are being  implemented and are effective as well as monitoring and auditing to ensure that any areas of improvement are identified  and developed  


We have positive relationships with our placing authorities and others working in our sector to  enable us to share experiences and resources, to pool expertise and work in partnership, in the  best interest of our service users. We evaluate all activity on a continual basis and use the  feedback gained to development our organisation.
